Mini-Coders for marking porous surface
Available in
both indexing and non-indexing (continuous print) models.
Mini-Coders are compact production coders designed for code printing applications requiring a relatively small print area. These machines are available in 1-1/8" x 9.1" or a 2.0" x 9.1" print area sizes and are used for marking on porous surfaces such as corrugated cartons, paper, etc. A unique spring tension mechanism enables the coder to be quickly set for either right hand or left hand operation. These units are supplied with a mounting bracket, a dry Microcell Ink Roll and a Print Drum which accommodates Ribtype printing dies. A quick change feature enables the print drum to be pulled off the axle without tools for off-line code changes.
Non-Indexing
Models are used for printing on continuous
web materials or long sheet stock. In these applications, the print drum always
remains in contact with the material being printed and the code information
is printed at an interval equal to the print drum circumference (9.1")
Non-Indexing
Models have print drums which rotate freely
on bearings and will print codes at a random starting position on cartons
and will repeat the code down the length of the carton at a 9.1" repeat
interval.
MC-10NI
1-1/8" Non-Indexing Mini-Coder - Print Area: 1-1/8" x 9.1"
MC-20NI
2" Non-Indexing Mini-Coder - Print Area: 2" x 9.1"
Indexing
Models have a spring return mechanism which
returns the print drum to the index position after printing each carton. This
feature enables the code on each carton to be registered in the same starting
position relative to the leading edge. The codes will still repeat down the
length of the carton at a 9.1" repeat interval.
